Other than serving the Newark area through Chiropractic care, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife Marissa and little dog Capone. On a nice day you can find me at the local Golf course working on my short game. I also enjoy working out, playing and watching different sports, and generally staying as active as I possibly can!
Susan Rainey, MSN, APRN, FNPC, WCC
Hello, I am Susan Rainey, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, WCC and I have been at reNu Medical and Injury Center since June. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Washington Township, NJ in 1996. My initial introduction to health and wellness began as an owner and operator of a day spa where I trained as an aesthetician and electrologist. I decided to take my knowledge to further advance treatment and care and after deciding to become a RN joined a dermatologic and plastic surgery practice. I then decided to further my education and continue my passion with skin and healing and became Wound Care Certified. While working full time, I completed my Master’s degree at Rowan University in 2019 and became an APRN and certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. My clinical rotations and training included an Urgent Care, established Physician Private Practice, Family, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Sub Acute, Long Term, Dementia and Hospice Care. Since then, I have continued to be fascinated by the human body’s amazing ability to heal and continued training in procedural medicine with a focus on injection training and regenerative medicine. This includes an integrative approach to medicine and utilizes functional, complementary and conventional treatments which is healing oriented. I strive to live daily with thankfulness, respect, love and care of self, family, nature, and my patients so to live a rich and full life and strive to always keep learning, training, and educating. I am blessed with a beautiful family which includes Edward, my patient husband of 28 years, my daughter, Gabrielle, who is newly engaged to Keaton (dearly love), and she is a nurse at Jefferson Hospital and my son, Eddie who is a resolute athlete and soccer player at Etown College. Together we enjoy laughs, friends, pets, cooking and travelling together.
