My name is Doris Chan Leach. I grew up in Hong Kong. I was raised in Eastern Medicine. I came to the U.S. for college after graduating from high school.
I am a chemical engineer by training. I had successful careers in the medical and chemical industries, Becton, Dickinson & Co., and DuPont Company for over 15 years. I changed my career because my passion is to help people heal naturally, and obtain health and wellness through chiropractic care, good nutrition, exercise and balance in mental attitude. I was the managing partner in a chiropractic practice for nine years providing the vision, marketing and management before I started reNu Chiropractic.
When I was pregnant with my second child, I injured my low back in my last trimester. The emergency physician that treated me said that I could not take any pain medications so he ordered bed rest for three months. He did not suggest chiropractic care and at the time I did not know that chiropractic was effective in treating low back problem naturally.
After my pregnancy, my low back problem did not go away. The doctor even suggested surgery. At that time, a friend suggested for me to see a Chiropractor. My low back problem was healed through chiropractic treatments and hydrotherapy. Through my personal experience, I totally believe that Chiropractic is the best way to treat spinal problems naturally.
My vision is to provide a warm and healing environment for our patients to “Repair, Restore, Renu.” I welcome each patient to become part of the reNu Chiropractic family. I want to offer a total care center where patients restore their body’s natural balance with chiropractic care, rehabilitation, exercise, nutrition education, mental health counseling, as well as advanced therapies including cold laser, electrical stimulation, massage, and acupuncture.
My son, Erik, is an architect in Los Angles, my daughter, Mikki just graduated from Jefferson Medical School, and is doing a five year residency at UC San Diego to become a surgeon, and my Westie, Jasmine - they are my pride and joy. My interest is to travel around the world and experience all different cultures.
