Trigger Point Injections (TPI) for Pain Care – Trigger points are localized hyperirritable spots often detected as tender nodule(s) in a taut band; a referred pain pattern specific to a muscle; a local twitch response with snapping palpation or needle triggering which is the main characteristic of Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS). This can be the result of injury or chronic inflammation or wear and tear of the muscle. Trigger points are either Active in which they cause direct pain in the muscle and may irritate the nerves around them and refer pain to other areas or Latent in which they cause pain when compressed.

A TPI injection can be used to treat many muscle groups; particularly those in the neck, upper back, lower back, rotator cuff injuries including bursitis, tendonitis, and joint pain in the arms and legs. TPI injections can also be used in the treatment of tension headaches, fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain syndrome.

Joint, Tendon, Sheath Injections for Pain Care – these injuries are commonly defined as Acute, Overuse and Chronic. Common conditions include Bursitis, Degenerative Joint Disease such as Osteoarthritis, Impingement, Gout, Plantar Fasciitis, Peripheral Neuropathy, Sprains, Tears, Tendonitis, Dislocation, Fractures, RA, Subluxation as well as overuse. These conditions result in inflammation, instability, pain, limited Range of Motion, stiffness, swelling and weakness.

Injections for Neuropathy Pain – Peripheral Neuropathy damage and pain is often the result of Diabetes, Autoimmune Diseases, Chemotherapy, Trauma, Vascular problems just to name a few. Neuropathy involves damage to the peripheral nervous system which involves nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord. These nerves are complex and connect many functions throughout the body and when they malfunction it causes symptoms ranging from mild to disabling and includes numbness, tingling, pins and needles, weakness, and/or sharp shooting pain.

  • Lidocaine is an anesthetic or numbing agent indicated to numb an area to help reduce, control, and prevent pain.
  • Kenalog is a steroid medication which includes a corticosteroid and an anesthetic numbing agent in the injection. The injection can help reduce inflammation and pain in the area.
  • Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NASAID) medication used to treat moderate to severe pain.

  • Sarapin is an injectable analgesic considered as a natural alternative for pain relief to manage muscle and neuropathic pain.
  • Signature Biologic is a cushioning agent derived from Wharton’s Jelly tissue (HCTP) utilized for homologous supplementation of the painful joint.
  • Supartaz is a Visco supplementation of the knee using hyaluronic acid for treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee to provide cushion and support for the knee joint.
  • TX-360 (SPG) is a nasal applicator utilized for nerve blocks for the treatment of headaches and migraines.
